Skype Real Time AI Translation Launched
Microsoft launched an AI powered translation of Skype to Skype video calls in real-time, using your natural voice. This means that you can have a conversation with someone who speaks a different language, and the translation will happen automatically, in real time, as the conversation is taking place.
The technology uses Artificial Intelligence to automatically detect the languages being spoken during a video call and translate them in real time. This is done using a combination of speech recognition technology and natural language processing, which are able to understand and interpret the spoken words and translate them into the desired language.

Translations are available for a number of different languages, including English, Spanish, French, German, Chinese, and more.
To activate during a call, just go to your three dots “More” menu and select “Translate”. Skype will guide both participants to start translating your conversation.
